Adult Therapy
Young adulthood is a time of profound transition. They often face the challenges of academic pressure, growing independence, identity development, and spiritual exploration all while trying to balance personal and social demands. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where young adults can process their experiences, develop insight, and build the skills necessary to thrive in this formative stage.
areas of focus include
navigating identity
social & academic stress
environmental exploration
coping methods
managing independence
Through personalized therapeutic tools and psycho-education, young adults learn how to manage their mental health, stay grounded, and move forward with intention.

All therapy sessions are conducted virtually to offer greater flexibility, comfort, and access to care. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to ensure that your personal health information is protected and your privacy is respected at all times.
Your confidentiality is a top priority, and I am committed to maintaining a safe, professional, and secure therapeutic space no matter where you are during your session.
To support your privacy, I encourage you to join sessions from a quiet, private space that is free from distractions and interruptions.

I am currently in-network with the following providers:
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan
Aetna
Cigna
Optum
If you are planning to use insurance, I recommend calling your provider in advance to confirm your benefits. Ask questions such as:
Do I have outpatient mental health benefits?
What is my co-pay per session?
Do I need to meet a deductible before coverage begins?
Are virtual therapy sessions covered under my plan?
Please note: All client responsibility amounts—such as co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance are collected at the time of service. While I am happy to guide you through the process, I cannot guarantee coverage or reimbursement, as insurance is a contract between you and your provider.
-
If I am not in-network with your insurance, I will bill my full session fee. I can provide a superbill (a detailed monthly receipt) that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
Helpful questions to ask your provider include:
Do you reimburse for out-of-network, outpatient mental health services?
What percentage of the session fee is covered?
Is there an out-of-network deductible I must meet?
You are responsible for verifying out-of-network coverage and reimbursement rates with your insurance provider.

I am committed to making therapy accessible to those who need it. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for individuals and families experiencing financial hardship or facing systemic barriers to care. If cost is a concern, please feel free to bring it up during your consultation. We will explore options to make therapy more manageable. Your well-being is a priority, and you are welcome here.

In compliance with the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of therapy services. This will be provided during the intake process or upon request and outlines the projected cost of care over a 12-month period based on your goals and treatment needs.
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept all major credit cards, FSA/HSA cards, and secure electronic payments through the client portal.
I recommend and ask clients to contact their insurance company directly to confirm their therapy coverage,

Acknowledgement
At Hikma & Wellness, my work is deeply rooted in the cultural and spiritual traditions that have shaped my identity and my purpose. I honor my Palestinian heritage, the resilience of my people, and the generational strength that carries us forward.
I acknowledge the intergenerational wisdom of our ancestors, and also the intergenerational trauma that echoes through our stories born from displacement, colonization, and the struggle to preserve identity while migrating and adapting to life in the West. These experiences shape how we live, connect, and heal.
I honor the emotional and spiritual labor of those who came before us, and I carry the memory of those who sacrificed and died so that we may live with dignity, voice, and purpose. Their struggles are not forgotten; they live in our resilience, in our acts of care, and in every step we take toward healing and justice.
This work is an offering one that honors both the pain and the power we inherit, and creates space for restoration across generations.
