HIPAA Compliance
As a licensed mental health provider, I follow all guidelines under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to protect your personal health information. This means that any information you share in therapy—whether verbal, written, or electronic—is kept strictly confidential and will not be shared without your written consent, except in cases where disclosure is required by law (such as imminent risk of harm, child or elder abuse, or court order).

Telehealth Privacy & Security
To receive telehealth services, you must be physically located in the state of Michigan at the time of your session, in accordance with state licensure laws.
If you have any questions or concerns about your confidentiality, privacy, or the security of virtual sessions, feel free to contact me directly. I am happy to discuss how your information is protected and how we maintain a safe therapeutic environment online.
Client Rights and Informed Consent
All clients will receive a comprehensive informed consent form prior to starting therapy. This document outlines your rights as a client, the therapy process, confidentiality limits, and policies regarding cancellations, communication, and treatment expectations.
