Fees & Policy
Investing in Your Mental Wellbeing
At Hikma & Wellness, I believe therapy is a valuable investment in your emotional health, growth, and self-discovery. I aim to provide transparent, accessible care while honoring the diverse financial realities and systemic barriers that individuals and families may face.
Session Fees
Initial Intake Appointment: $200
Ongoing Psychotherapy Sessions: $175 per session
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept all major credit cards, FSA/HSA cards, and secure electronic payments through the client portal.
Insurance Coverage
I am currently in-network with the following providers:
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan
Aetna
Cigna
Optum
If you are planning to use insurance, I recommend calling your provider in advance to confirm your benefits. Ask questions such as:
Do I have outpatient mental health benefits?
What is my co-pay per session?
Do I need to meet a deductible before coverage begins?
Are virtual therapy sessions covered under my plan?
Please note: All client responsibility amounts—such as co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance are collected at the time of service. While I am happy to guide you through the process, I cannot guarantee coverage or reimbursement, as insurance is a contract between you and your provider.
Out-of-Network Services
If I am not in-network with your insurance, I will bill my full session fee. I can provide a superbill (a detailed monthly receipt) that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
Helpful questions to ask your provider include:
Do you reimburse for out-of-network, outpatient mental health services?
What percentage of the session fee is covered?
Is there an out-of-network deductible I must meet?
You are responsible for verifying out-of-network coverage and reimbursement rates with your insurance provider.
Sliding Scale
I am committed to making therapy accessible to those who need it. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for individuals and families experiencing financial hardship or facing systemic barriers to care. If cost is a concern, please feel free to bring it up during your consultation. We will explore options to make therapy more manageable. Your well-being is a priority, and you are welcome here.
Good Faith Estimate
In compliance with the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of therapy services. This will be provided during the intake process or upon request and outlines the projected cost of care over a 12-month period based on your goals and treatment needs.
Questions on payment method: I recommend and ask clients to contact their insurance company directly to confirm their therapy coverage I am happy to answer any additional questions you may have
Confidentiality
Virtual Therapy & Confidentiality
All therapy sessions are conducted virtually to offer greater flexibility, comfort, and access to care. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to ensure that your personal health information is protected and your privacy is respected at all times.
Your confidentiality is a top priority, and I am committed to maintaining a safe, professional, and secure therapeutic space no matter where you are during your session.
To support your privacy, I encourage you to join sessions from a quiet, private space that is free from distractions and interruptions.
